Bikes vs Cars : NZ Premier

October 13, 2015

From bike activists in Sao Paulo and Los Angeles, fighting for safe bike lanes, to the City of Copenhagen, where forty percent commute by bike daily, Bikes vs Cars looks at both the struggle for cyclists in a society dominated by cars, and the revolutionary changes that could take place if more cities moved away from car-centric models.

Bike Devonport are doing great things for cycling on the Shore. They’ve organised NZ’s first screening of Swedish director Fredrik Gertten’s new movie BIKE vs CARS, and bikie types from all over Auckland will be attending.

YOU need to be there too! One screening only, and it WILL sell out. So snap-up those tickets quick!

Where: The Vic, Devonport
When: Sunday 18th October, 3PM
How Much? $5 Entry (only 5 bucks!)

Book your tickets HERE via the Vic’s website.

  • Movie followed by a Panel Discussion

Hi Antoine, I have a question for you – I’m working on a nice city – upper harbour – Devonport loop. Something like this – You live around there, right? Can you give me some advice about a good route from Milford to the Upper Harbour highway? Through some nice bush/parks perhaps? Thanks a lot. Alex

That’s right – I’m not in a hurry but I like quiet and scenery. Like in the Takapuna/Bayswater section, I’ll change the route to include the Shoal Bay Bridge. Cheers.

I ride from Devonport to Upper Harbour via Milford and Constellation ALL the time (via your route) so keen to hear if Antoine has some sneaky nice alternatives to the East Coast Road to Sunset to Glenfield Road to Upper Harbour route. :)
