Auckland Bike 2 Work Challenge

January 22, 2011

Bike Wise The Bike Wise folks have lots of activities planned for Bike Wise Month in February but a fun one to get involved in (that doesn’t have to include anyone else but you) is the Auckland Bike 2 Work Challenge. After registering you simply log your rides on the website and watch those Ks add up. You can ride as little or as often as you like but 10 trips need to be logged to qualify for the big prize – an Avanti Discovery 8C bike! I did the challenge last year and it was fun watching my mileage-total increase week-by-week, a real motivator.

Have fun, get fit, impress your work colleagues, win prizes… and it’s free. There must be a catch somewhere?

Here’s the official blurb:

Summer is a great time to consider ditching your car and try cycling to work! Now you can participate in a fun event that provides you with incentive and support to get fit and healthy on your way to work this summer – at zero cost!
